In collaboration with the Forest Alliance of Armenia and within the framework of COP17, Wikimedia Armenia is organizing a photography contest titled "Forest Biodiversity of Armenia," running from September 20 to October 10.
The contest offers participants the opportunity to explore and showcase Armenia’s forests from various perspectives—not merely as landscapes, but as living, interconnected ecosystems.
As part of the initiative, hiking excursions will be held on September 26 and October 3. During these outings, participants are encouraged to capture images of forest landscapes and other elements of forest biodiversity, which they will then upload to Wikimedia Commons.
The creators of the top 10 photographs will receive prizes. The results of the contest will be announced during COP17.
